Will Oversee Cloud-Based Anti-DDoS Mitigation Centers
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – February 9, 2016 – NSFOCUS IB today announced that industry veteran Alex Cruz Farmer, has been appointed to the position of VP, Cloud Services. In this capacity he will oversee the new cloud-based mitigation centers the company is launching as part of its hybrid anti-Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation services. The new offering combines the resources of the mitigation centers with the strengths of the NSFOCUS Anti-DDoS System (ADS), which uses a multi-stage inspection and analysis process to enable the highest rates of efficiency and accuracy.
“This volatile market, which has to contend with a steady stream of anti-DDoS attacks, needs more flexible solutions of the kind we’re now offering, and Alex is the perfect person to launch and manage these facilities,” said Allan Thompson, COO at NSFOCUS IB. “He has both the diversity of vertical industry expertise and the depth of technical expertise needed to develop these innovative services, and we’re excited to have him join the team and lead our initiatives in this critical discipline.”
Mr. Cruz Farmer brings a hybrid background of his own to his new position. He has long specialized in troubleshooting commercial and technical problems, along with building viable business strategies, building robust network architectures, and otherwise helping businesses expand their target markets. He has more than a decade’s worth of experience delivering network, cloud and data center strategies in different verticals.
Before joining NSFOCUS IB, he was Group Technical Director with C4L, a leading colocation, connectivity, cloud and communications provider in the UK with access to 300 data centers worldwide. In this capacity he was responsible for all cloud, connectivity and voice strategies. Earlier, he was Managing Director with NetSumo Ltd., a UK-based provider of consulting services and network management to Internet Service Providers and enterprise networks.
