Key Vulnerabilities

We screened out the vulnerabilities with great impact in this update according to product popularity and vulnerability severity. Affected users can pay attention to them:

Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2024-30080):

Due to the post-release reuse issue in Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ), unauthenticated attackers can send specially-crafted MSMQ packets to execute arbitrary code on target systems. The Windows Message Queuing Service is a Windows component that needs to be enabled in order to exploit this vulnerability. This function can add the Message Queuing service through the control panel, and view the running status of the service from TCP port 1801 on the host. The CVSS score was 9.8.

Windows WiFi Driver Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2024-30078):

The Windows WiFi driver contains a remote code execution vulnerability where an unauthenticated attacker can send malicious network packets to neighboring systems using the Wi-Fi network adapter for remote code execution. The CVSS score was 8.8.

Driver privilege escalation vulnerability in Windows kernel mode (CVE-2024-30084/CVE-2024-35250):

CVE-2024-30084: TOCTOU conditional contention vulnerability in Windows Kernel Mode Driver. CVE-2024-35250: Untrusted pointer dereference vulnerability in Windows kernel mode driver; local attackers authenticated by ordinary users can exploit these vulnerabilities by running special programs to obtain SYSTEM permissions of the target system.

Windows Win32k local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2024-30082/CVE-2024-30086/CVE-2024-30087/CVE-2024-30091):

CVE-2024-30082 and CVE-2024-30086 are post-release reuse vulnerabilities in the Windows Win32k subsystem; CVE-2024-30087 is an incorrect input validation vulnerability in the Windows Win32k subsystem; CVE-2024-30091 is a heap overflow vulnerability in the Windows Win32k subsystem; A local attacker authenticated as a normal user can exploit these vulnerabilities by running special programs to gain the privileges of the user running the affected application.
