January – Release of the 2023 Global DDoS Landscape Report

In the 2023 Global DDoS Landscape Report, NSFOCUS proposed important insights on global DDoS threats. DDoS attacks have become an indispensable weapon in cyber warfare, attackers are gradually favoring the use of Virtual Private Server (VPS) as attack sources, and the DDoS attack mode has shifted from simple and crude resource exhaustion to intelligent strategic attacks.

February – Strive for Excellence with Industry-Leading Multiple Algorithms

NSFOCUS has been continuously refining our DDoS defense series of products and solutions, achieving outstanding results in protecting against zombie hosts, scanning attacks, and new types of attacks. By linking with threat intelligence to obtain zombie host information in advance, proactive defense is carried out against nascent botnets. NSFOCUS holds the patent for scanning attack protection, effectively improving the detection rate of the popular scanning attacks. In addition, NSFOCUS proposed a programmable defense strategy to deal with various new types of attacks. NSFOCUS is also the only domestic vendor providing adaptive programmable defense.

March – Listed as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner® Network Detection and Response Market Guide Report by NTA/MF

In the Gartner® Network Detection and Response Market Guide Report, NSFOCUS’s Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) and Magic Flow (MF) were officially listed as representative vendors due to the outstanding technological innovation and excellent market performance. This recognition marks our leading position in the field of network security, especially in network traffic analysis and threat detection.

May – ADS Series Made the 17th Appearance at RSA Conference

NSFOCUS made the 17th appearance at RSA Conference 2024 with our ADS series. Relying on leading technological innovation and profound industry insights, NSFOCUS has been continuously optimizing our product capabilities and protection algorithms to help enterprises deal with various complex security threats. The promotion of the ADS series over the years has gained extensive industry recognition and effectively enhanced our international influence.

June – The T-Level Model is Born

The new model ADSNX5-HD20000 was officially launched, further deepening the core competitiveness with optimized equipment performance. With a maximum 1Tbps protection capacity of single equipment, we keep following the international market trend.

July – Listed in the IDC Report China WAAP Vendor Technology Capability Assessment 2024

NSFOCUS’s WAAP technology received outstanding evaluations with perfect scores in five key areas: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Traffic Management, Threat Intelligence, Application-layer DDoS Protection, and Industry Applications. Our efficient DDoS mitigation solution can automatically models traffic for various services and generates protection policies based on multi-dimensional analysis, filtering layer 3/4/7 attacks with proprietary algorithms, and introduces programmable countermeasures for dynamic defense against evolving DDoS threats.

October – Highest in History! NSFOCUS DDoS Protection Service Neutralized a T-Level DDoS Attack

In Q4 of 2024, NSFOCUS observed and successfully mitigated the largest DDoS attack ever recorded under the cloud-based DDoS Protection Service (DPS). This massive DDoS attack targeted a telecommunications service provider, one of NSFOCUS’s global clients. By employing Anycast technology, we rapidly distributed the DDoS attack traffic to the nearest scrubbing nodes, ensuring minimal network latency and unperceived DDoS protection for our clients, ultimately safeguarding them from this colossal traffic attack. We flexibly updated and switched DDoS protection policies to ensure the secure and stable operation of the client’s business systems, achieving a 99% scrubbing efficiency during several peaks nearing 1 Tbps, effectively safeguarding the client’s network infrastructure.
