Highlights of the report include:

  • Rapid Growth in High-Intensity Attacks: In 2024, the number of DDoS attack events with peak bandwidth exceeding 500Gbps surged by 37.91% compared to 2023, reaching a total of 582 times. The second half of the year witnessed a more significant number of such attacks, indicating a continuous upward trend in the intensity of DDoS threats.
  • Predominance of Traditional Attack Means with New Combinations: At the network/transport layer, UDP Flood remained the most common attack method. In the application layer, HTTPS – based attacks were prevalent. Moreover, attackers increasingly combined various means to maximize the impact of their attacks. Composite attacks accounted for 11.49% of all attacks in 2024.
  • Rise in the Number of Attacking Entities: The number of DDoS – attacking organizations in 2024 increased by 57.30% compared to 2023, amounting to 7933. Monthly DDoS attack events also showed year – on – year growth, highlighting the expanding threat landscape.
