Politico – FCC RULES GET HIGH MARKS (FROM SOME) ON PRIVACY, SECURITY — The FCC’s broadband privacy rules for internet service providers released Thursday won praise from privacy advocates as well as from those who had advocated for the order to emphasize security. “Under the proposed rules, an ISP would be required to notify consumers about what types of information they are collecting, specify how and for what purposes that information can be used and shared, and identify the types of entities with which the ISP shares the information,” Chairman Tom Wheeler wrote in a blog post.
