NSFOCUS Attends APEX CBET II

BEIJING. – Sep 14, 2021 The 2nd APEC Cross-Border E-Commerce Training (APEC CBET II) is held at 9:00am-11:30am (GMT+8) on September 8, 15 & 22, 2021 by the Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of China, supported by DHgate. This event is facilitated specifically to discuss about digital transformation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Themes of the workshop include Digital Trade Development Amid Pandemic, Technology Transformation of Cross-Border Amid Pandemic, and Reconnection of The Global Supply-Chain Amid Pandemic.

With COVID-19 causing tremendous economic loss across the globe, it has brought unprecedented challenges for business operations, shifting international trades into a more digital environment. The APEC CBET II aims to share the best practices related to global trade from MSMEs across APEC economies under and after the pandemic. Insights from senior experts and representatives are shared during the online workshop.

Dr. Richard ZHAO, Chief Operating Officer of NSFOCUS, Inc., attended the workshop with his speech of Creating A Cybersecurity Strategy. Dr. Zhao was one of earliest recipients of CISSP, BS7799, ITIL certificates in China. As an active contributor to cyber security community and organizations, he has over 24 years of professional experience in telecom and network security areas. Before he transferred to current business role, he was Chief Technology Officer, managing the product, research and development for the company. He is the Executive Director of China Cyberspace Security Association. He was the founder of Greater China Chapter and Board Member of Silicon Valley Chapter of Cloud Security Alliance. He won Ron Knode Service Award of CSA in 2012.

During the discussion panel, Dr. Zhao shared insights of six aspects of cybersecurity strategy: Resilience and “fail-safe”, Compliance, Cloud security, Endpoint security, Anti-DDoS and Supply chain risk management. The speech focused on cyber threats faced by enterprises and the importance to build systematic defense methods, especially hybrid Anti-DDoS as one of the best approaches against DDoS attacks.

According to DHgates, around 100 honored guests and representatives from Central Cyberspace Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, General Administration of Customs, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade participated in this online workshop. With enhanced collaboration across countries, enterprises will continue to meet with opportunities and challenges.
