A: From version 5.6R11, NIPS introduces the global blacklist and whitelist. NIPS deems traffic from IP addresses in the global blacklist to be malicious by default and directly blocks such traffic. As for traffic from the allowed IP address, NIPS deems such traffic legitimate by default and allows it to pass. NIPS V5.6R10 allows customers to configure an application management policy of blocking all traffic to a specific service to produce an effect like the blacklist. The whitelist function is implemented via streaming media configuration files. If customers do not want to inspect and alert traffic from a specific IP address, they can use streaming media to directly allow such traffic to pass.
