Multiple Security Vulnerability Notifications on Apple Products

Overview

Recently, NSFOCUS CERT has detected that Apple has officially repaired two 0day vulnerabilities in multiple Apple products. At present, it has detected that there are uses in wild. Affected users should take protective measures as soon as possible. The details of the vulnerability are as follows:

Apple ImageIO Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVS 2023-41064):

Due to a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Apple ImageIO framework, attackers can trigger this vulnerability by inducing victims to process crafted images, ultimately leading to the execution of arbitrary code on the target device or causing the device to crash.

Apple Wallet frameworks remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2023-41061):

There is a validation flaw in the Apple Wallet frameworks framework, which allows attackers to trigger this vulnerability by inducing victims to open specially crafted malicious attachments, ultimately leading to the execution of arbitrary code on the target device or causing the device to crash.

Apple ImageIO is a framework that allows applications to load and process images; The Apple Wallet framework is a framework that allows users to store and manage their payment cards and other credentials.
