The combination of the two vulnerabilities can realize remote code execution. Please take measures to protect them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CVE-2024-12084: There is a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the Rsync daemon. Due to improper processing of user-controlled checksum length (s2length), when the default configuration of Rsyncd allows anonymous file synchronization, attackers can write data into an area of memory beyond the allocated range by constructing a malicious s2length value, thus realizing remote code execution. The CVSS score is 9.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CVE-2024-12085: The Rsync daemon has the problem of improper restrictions on operations within the memory buffer range. Due to incorrect initialization of the memory, when the Rsync compares file checksums, the attacker can read uninitialized memory data through specific operations, resulting in information leakage.
