The answer is YES! NSFOCUS NIPS can block SSH connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may have similar questions, for example, whether Nmap or sqlmap can be blocked by NIPS. The answer is YES, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These questions can often be resolved by configuring application control profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow these steps to enable SSH connection blocking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Click Objects<\/strong> on the navigation bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: In the navigation pane, from the Application Control<\/strong> drop-down list, choose Profile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Click New<\/strong> in the upper right corner of the displayed page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: In the New Application Control Profile dialog box, select SSH<\/strong> for the Application<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
